Hello, My name is Isabel Stebbins and I am graduating from Edgewood High School in May of 2025 and I am so excited to begin my college and career journey. I have lived in Ashtabula County my entire life, and have been enrolled at Buckeye since 2 nd grade. During my High School Years at Edgewood, I have been given many opportunities to make a difference in my community by being a part of the giving and delivery of Thanksgiving dinners to Buckeye families in need, participating in The City Clean up in Ashtabula, and so much more. Much like Mr. Daywalt I love to give back to my community. I will be continuing my education at The University of Akron, and I will be majoring in Nursing-BSN. Working in the healthcare field is something very important to me; I have always had a passion for helping others and, in turn, making a difference in their lives. I am thrilled to be receiving this scholarship because I value the morals and mission of Mr. Daywalt, I love to make a difference and be involved, and it is something that and what I would like to align with in the future.

Hello everyone, my name is Krista Landolfi, and I am 22 years old. I am incredibly honored to be a recipient of the Bill DayWalt Memorial Scholarship, which has guaranteed my ability to attend school and further my education. This scholarship will allow me to pursue my goal of becoming an EKG technician. It has also positioned me to continue pushing forward and breaking generational cycles. Despite what anyone has said, my main goal in life is to surpass where I come from, and the Bill DayWalt Memorial Scholarship is a crucial step in that journey. Thank you for this incredible opportunity!

Hello! My name is Kalena Kelner and I am attending University of Alaska Fairbanks for Wildlife Biology and Conservation. I have a heavy background in environmental sciences which includes traveling to Namibia with National Geographic to study large cat conservation, interning in both outdoor education and community ecology, and wildlife rehabilitation work. My hope is to eventually get a PhD but for now I plan to focus on conservation in regards to climate change to ensure that future generations can experience the same beauty of nature that I have. This year has been especially tough for my family and there were a few times I thought I would have to take a gap year to save enough to go to college. Due to lots of hard work and scholarships like this, I am going to be able to attend my dream school and pursue my passion, and I am so, so grateful.

Hello my name is Adrianna Bray. I am 21 years old. Ashtabula born & raised and I am currently enrolled in Kent state Ashtabula majoring in radiology! Outside of being a student I currently work as an independent hairstylist at Christy Tobias salon. I enjoy helping people feel confident in their appearance & creating unique looks in the salon. The trust my clients have for me is the most rewarding part of my job. Besides work and school, I am a full time spouse. I owe the biggest thank you to my wife for not only supporting me in my decision to further my education, but for motivating me daily to achieve my dreams. Once I graduate my goal is to provide a safe environment for those needing patient care, & to do my small part of keeping humanity alive in the medical field . Winning the Bill Daywalt scholarship is truly an honor. This means one step closer to my future as a radiologist. I cannot wait for what the fall semester will bring!
My name is Bett, I've lived in Ashtabula all my life and am currently a graduating senior at Lakeside High School. I've always been drawn to the arts– illustration, animation, writing, and theater alike. I grew up acting in productions at the Ashtabula Arts Center, and over the years I’ve also worked backstage and volunteered in various areas of the theater. Drawing and storytelling with illustration has been my biggest passion for a long time, and is often a solace for me. After graduating, I plan on attending the Columbus College of Art and Design. My dream job is to work as a storyboarder and make passion project narrative comics. I'll use my college education that the Bill DayWalt Memorial Scholarship helps fund to get me closer to achieving that goal. I am beyond thankful for receiving the scholarship and can't wait to start working towards my goals, finding community and people alike and different from me along the way.
